Every year in early March thousands of people across the globe unplug from technology. Why? For quality human connection! Tokyo Unplugged Village, gatherings without devices, is coupling our yearly gathering with the seasonal Japanese tradition of slow time under the cherry blossoms. Join us for HANAMI + HOBBY, a picnic gathering of hanami (cherry blossom viewing) and your hobby. Together we'll enjoy food, snack, drinks and whatever hobby you'd like to bring: crafting, reading, drawing, knitting, board games, crossword puzzles, birdwatching, painting, napping and more. Join your Tokyo community and others around the globe in stepping away from our phones, laptops and computers to engage in connection with others and the beauty of Spring in Tokyo! ​ This event is FREE and will be held at Yoyogi Park on Saturday, March 28, 11am-2pm. Participants are responsible for bringing their own picnic or snacks, a blanket or picnic mat, and their personal hobby. Each registered participant will receive a complimentary Global Day of Unplugging phone knapsack for tucking your phone away in style!
